第一课时:Vocabulary and listening

Teaching Aims and Demands:

1. Language Knowledge

    Key vocabulary: There, forty-six, computer, dictionary, library, picture, television, right

    Key structure: there be

2. Listening skill: To understand conversations involving introduction of class and classroom in listening. Improve the students’ listening ability.

Teaching Aids: Multi-Media (or Tape recorder, OHP)

Teaching Procedures:

Step 1  Listing   

1. Ss list the objects in these places.

Office:

设计意图:从学生所熟悉的环境入手,利用学生已有的认知水平进行头脑风暴,并引入新单词,主要为下一步物品归类做准备工作。

2. Consolidate new words, take the classroom as an example.

设计意图:按教室内物品归类,为导入新句型There be作铺垫。

Step 2   Learn to describe a classroom.  

  1. T: It’s my classroom. Could you help me describe it? 教师导入新

    句型:  There is …    Is there … ?

      There are …  Are there… ?

 2. Look and say. The teacher shows pictures of different places, and the students choose suitable words to describe them.

 3. Students ask and answer in pairs.

设计意图:承认学生的个体差异,引导学生通过个人思考来引出新句型,以便教师对新语言点的呈现更加自然。在场所变换中,学会使用不同的词进行描述。(全班活动  小组)

Step  3  Listen and read  

1.       Read through the questions in Activity 4. Listen and underline.

2.       Listen again and finish the form:

3.       Check the answers.

4.       Listen and read after the tape, then make up similar dialogues in pairs.

设计意图:在常规听力练习中进一步提高学生听的能力。充足的输入,更有利于学生进行目标语言的输出。

Step 4  Homework 

Interview: Interview one or two students from different classes, ask him/ her the objects in his/ her classroom.

Language support: Is there … ? Are there any … ?
